Lisa Mitchell Art Work

I have been meaning to post this art work for a while now... a few months ago I was asked by Lisa Mitchell to produce a design for the tour t-shirts for her tour that she is now on. We wanted to combine my styles with her own with my input being the geometric shapes and styles, and hers being the birds, handwritten writing and arrows. These concepts together work really well and I am so happy with the result. The t-shirts will be on sale online in a few weeks, I will post a link when they do, so be sure to pick one up!

Ideas...

I seem to have a tendency of seeing something on the internet, liking it and then just saving it to my lap top and then not being sure where I got it from... this going for the images below. As you know from my look book on my website, Lucy Jay is all about wearing scarves in various ways; what I like about this approach is that it is very classic with regard to the way it has been worn around the head and shoulders however with the styling it really looks quite contemporary, particularly with the bold colours of the scarf itself. Give it a whirl with your Lucy Jay scarf!

Also check out the 'A Daisy Chain Dream Blog', Lucy Jay has been featured on there and all of the comments are so nice, thanks to everyone!

Colours

I am always attracted to colours and particularly by this set of images from Ana Benaroya, the colour combinations are really great and make for some really interesting and unique pieces, I love them.

Love Love Love

The past few weeks I have not really been focussing on inspiration and ideas for Lucy Jay as I have had a million other things to do, however I have got back on to it over the past few days and I am ready to start designing again; I am also having to juggle this with promotion of Lucy Jay and the general running of the label, so it is all hard work, however with work inspiring me that is along the lines of French Fourch that is no problem at all... I love this, and looking through their work is a pleasure. There website is a must to check out.

I think the colours of the screen prints below are beautiful, the combinations work so well and create really amazing pieces.

So, work now has begun on the next collection of scarves...
